Privacy Policy
What this site collects, and why.
No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics. This page sets out the rest in full.
This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what is done with it.
Who this policy covers
This website is operated by the chamber of Adv. Lavi Tyagi, New Delhi. Questions about this policy may be sent to contact@lavityagi.com.
What is collected
This website has no enquiry form and collects nothing directly from you. Contact is made by telephone, WhatsApp or email, on your own initiative.
- Correspondence — any email, message or call you direct to the chamber.
- Technical data — standard server logs recorded by the hosting provider, which may include IP address, browser type and pages requested.
What is not collected
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics.
Third parties who receive data
- Google Maps — the contact and home pages embed a map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies in your browser. If you would rather not load it, the chamber's address is also given in plain text on both pages and in the footer of every page.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are requested from Google's servers, which receive the IP address making the request.
- Hosting provider — standard server logs, as described above.
No other third party receives your data from this site, and it is never sold or used for advertising.
Why it is collected
- To respond to your enquiry and, if the chamber is engaged, to conduct your matter.
- To meet the professional and statutory obligations that apply to an advocate.
- To keep the website secure and functioning.
Confidentiality and privilege
Information shared for the purpose of obtaining legal advice is treated as confidential whether or not the chamber is subsequently engaged. Please note that email and messaging apps are not secure channels: do not send privileged or sensitive documents in a first message. Making contact does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not result in an engagement are retained only so long as needed to deal with them. Records relating to matters actually conducted are retained for the period required by professional obligation and applicable law.
Your rights
You may ask what personal data is held about you, ask that it be corrected, or ask that it be erased where there is no legal or professional obligation to retain it. Write to the email address above.
